Probing: Direct-Push Technology

Extracting soil and water samples for environmental testing can be accomplished with a Probe. AmeriDrill has two 66DT Track Mounted Low Profile Probes that are capable of advancing probe borings in tight access areas all around New Jersey and New York. It can also take water samples and install ½ diameter wells when Hollow Stem Auger (HSA) or Air Percussion Rotary (APR) capabilities are used. Each and every aspect of our probing is done in accordance with state and environmental standards.

There are various uses for probing including; site investigation, soil & water sampling and monitor well installation. At AmeriDrill, Inc., we also have vertical and limited horizontal probing methods that can be used around New Jersey and New York.

In May of 2003, AmeriDrill was capable of reaching 202 feet with the 66DT Probe and SP15 Groundwater Sampler. This event was featured in "The Probing Times" in the Summer of 2003. (These Probes are small with a BIG Probe personality!)
